We are still celebrating African women who were at the recent Met Gala held in New York on Monday 6th. We know how far they have come and how much more they hope to achieve. And we appreciate their various successful interpretations of the theme: Sleeping beauties:Reawakening fashion.

And so today, we start with Ayo Edebiri who recently won her Emmy. And is attending her first Met. She looks like a splash colourful flowers in the garden of Eden.

Next is Venus Williams. She looks as fit and trim as ever.

Gabrielle Union’s dress makes her appear like a beautiful, glistening, green and silver-scaled mermaid in the sea and like lush lawn in a beautiful garden as well.

Somalia’ s own home-grown model, Ugbad Abdi is our next pride and joy. She made history as Fendi’s first hijab runway model. She has opened shows for Marc Jacobs too. This is also her first Met.
