Miss Universe International Sweden has announced that it will not take part in the 71st edition of the event coming up in January 2023. They did not hold any competition this year 2022, to choose a representative for their country. They look forward to presenting a candidate next year 2023.

Sweden had Moa Sandberg bearing their flag at the 2021 Miss Universe competition held in Eliat, Israel in December. She however did not make the last twenty list. Sweden has won the Miss Universe title thrice. In 1955, 1966 and 1984 by Hillevi Rombin, Margareta Arvidsson and Yvonne Ryding respectively.

Miss Universe 2022/23 will be the 71st edition of the pageant and will be held in New Orleans United States of America on the 14th of January 2023. Harnaaz Sandhu of India, will crown her successor at the end of the event.

We’ll miss Sweden at this upcoming event and look forward to seeing them again, later in 2023.
